Dr. Mark and Dr. Rebecca Turney moved to Tennessee Ridge in 2007 to practice veterinary medicine at the Houston County Animal Clinic. With the need for large animal veterinarians growing and a passion for large animal Medicine, the new facility and dream were completed in 2022. K&M Veterinary is Now a full-service haul-in facility that will allow the Turneys’ to continue to provide large animal services safer and with better diagnostic abilities.

The fully enclosed cattle facility allows for herd work, a tilt chute for foot care, and all bovine care to be in one location out of the elements.
The equine room is set with stocks for standing procedures such as dental care (teeth floating) and standing surgical and medical procedures.
Digital X-rays and thermal imaging are available for cattle horses and sheep and goats to aid in lameness and injury.

A dedicated surgery suite is available for small ruminants and calves as well as Full diagnostic lab work available with most done in-house for a quick turnaround.

In 2022, K&M veterinary clinic was accepted to be a clinical rotation Site (ECP) for Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine. So be looking for veterinary students to be working alongside and learning throughout the year. They also have been able to have students from The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine as well. This is in Dr Mark’s words, one of the best ways to give back by helping others
